Patriotic Paper Creations for the 4th!



Celebrate Freedom Hat
Looking for fun, frugal and creative ways to celebrate the 4th of July with your little firecrackers? If your kids love quirky hats, they will love doing this project with you. Create a freedom hat with some cardstock, glitter and stars!


Memorial Day Bunting
This simple bunting craft is perfect for patriotic holidays. Or change up the colors and create bunting for any occasion using paper, a little paint and yarn - super simple!

American Eagle Handprint
Your kiddos will enjoy this easy eagle handprint craft because it's fun, flashy and festive! Hang some eagles up to enjoy those cute little handprints.


Patriotic Paper Chain

Fast Fun for Your 4th of July!

Patriotic Paper Chain
We have some fast fun 4th of July projects to keep your kiddos entertained and enjoying this fun summer holiday. Get your kids to lend a hand with decorating: let them create yards of patriotic paper chain to hang on the porch, mantle or back yard. It also makes a great bbq accent!


4th of July Rocket
Using stuff you probably already have at home, help your kids create some fun paper rockets to play with or display for party decorations!


Safe Sparklers
Have toddlers? Need some safe sparkler alternatives? Let the big kids create some fun and safe "fireworks" that the little ones can shake and enjoy!


Shake It Up!
Kids love to make noise, especially during fireworks and the 4th of July! Use our free instructions to create patriotic shakers!

Dynamite Crafts for the 4th of July!


American Eagle Handprint
You don't want to miss a chance to celebrate Independence Day with your little firecrackers. We've got some great ideas for how to celebrate together! You'll love the simple eagle handprint craft because it's are fun, flashy and festive!

Red, White & Blue Wreath
This patriotic wreath craft involves tissue paper, glue and silver pipe cleaners. It's perfect for keeping preschool age kids busy for a little while and is super cute to hang up when finished!

Celebrate Freedom Hat
If your kids love quirky hats, they will love doing this project with you. Create a freedom hat with some cardstock, glitter and stars!

Construction Paper Flags

Crafty Wednesday: Freedom Bell


Each Wednesday we'll bring you a fun craft to make with your kids! July 8th was the day the Liberty Bell cracked! Here's a fun craft to commemorate that.

This week's craft is...

Freedom Bell

Pattern of a bell
poster board
foil

This is a simple and easy craft to make for little ones. Trace the pattern of a bell onto poster board. Allow children to cut out. Using silver or gold foil, cover the bell. Across the front write "Freedom". For the Liberty Bell, you can draw a crack with a black marker.

Friday Activity: Fireworks In The Sky

Each Friday we'll bring you a fun activity to do with your kids!

This week's activity is...

Fireworks In The Sky

Salad spinner
Black construction paper circles to fit inside the spinner
purple
pink
& white tempera paint
silver glitter
silver pen to write child's name on finished product

Simply put the circle in the salad spinner & have child drop some paint onto the paper. I hold the bowl of the spinner while they turn/churn the spinner. Off with the cover to see their design, and while the paint is still wet, sprinkle on the glitter! Simple, but spectacular on our bulletin board!

Thursday Games: Neighborhood Bike Parade

Each Thursday we'll bring you a fun game to play with your kids!

This week's game is...

Neighborhood Bike Parade

Have the neighborhood children decorate their bike with streamers/flags, etc. Then assemble them into a line and have a bike parade through the streets of your neighborhood. You can have recorded patriotic music playing as they ride! You can also have the children make and wear red-white and blue hats!

Crafty Wednesday: Patriotic Paper Chain

Each Wednesday we'll bring you a fun craft to make with your kids!

This week's craft is...

Patriotic Paper Chain

red construction paper
blue construction paper
white paper
stapler
tape
misc. craft supplies

Start by cutting strips of paper 2" wide. Make the first loop and secure with either a staple or tape. Slide the next piece of paper through the first and secure. Continue till all strips are used - make sure to alternate colors. When done making the chain you can embellish with markers, glitter and stickers!
