Egg-citing Easter Crafts!

Coffee Filter Eggs
Easter is a week away.  You need some simple, fun Easter crafts for your little chicks to scratch at!  Check out these ideas or visit our Easter Crafts page for a bunny loving list of activities and projects.

Egg Headband
A simple egg-themed idea perfect for a last minute craft or for an Easter party, kids (almost any age) can decorate their cut-out eggs with all kinds of embellishments and create a unique headband to wear.

Handprint Flower
This is another paint-the-hand craft for tiny chicks to "create."  Coat their little hand in paint, stick it to the paper, add a few pieces - and you have a craft to send home with them!

Paper Plate Bunny Mask
While there are a few more pieces and supplies to this craft, essentially it is a low-cost and simple project for a 3-5 year old class to make and wear!  (Kids love masks...they just do.)

PomPom Flower Magnet
If you have some fuzzy pompoms you've been hoarding for a rainy day, pull them out get crafty!  This is a simple and fun craft to promote dexterity and giggles.  And it can be done very quickly if time is short.

Spring Is In The Air!

Budding Spring Tree
Kids instinctively know when it's Spring (according to my son's teachers anyway).  They get all fidgety and feisty and want to run amok!  Calm their Spring jitters with some of our Spring-themed crafts this week.

April Showers Umbrella
This is an easy craft, for Preschool & Kindergarten ages, using art tissue paper & water to create a Spring umbrella!

Butterfly Feet
For infants or young toddlers, too little to do much "crafting", use paint and their baby feet to create a sweet butterfly!

Clothespin Pal
Using a round or doll-type clothespin, 1st and 2nd Graders can create some little buddies to pal around with inside or outside!

Leprechaun Treats
This is a fun edible craft to create with your kids!  It's great for entertaining kids of different ages at the same time and is inexpensive too.

Lucky Charms Sort
If you have a box of Lucky Charms Cereal and some cups you can do this learning game with your kids.  It's that easy!  It can also be used to teach kids about values and graphing in a fun snack-friendly way.

Paper Dot Rainbows
This paper craft is fun if you don't mind sweeping up tiny dots for awhile!  It's super easy for little hands because all it requires it sticking dots to the paper to form their rainbow.

Shimmering Shamrocks
Talk about easy and fun!  This is my favorite by far, as it is so simple and incorporates glitter!  It's a quick project you can create in jiff with all ages, especially if you need a time filler or last minute go-to craft.

Leprechaun Love!

Leprechaun Search
This game utilizes fun shamrock shapes to lead your "little people" around the room to find small hidden treasures - they will have so much fun tracking down the Leprechaun's stash!

Leprechaun Gifts
This simple craft will entertain your class as they pretend to be Leprechauns and create a cute gift to give their parents for St. Patty's Day!

Leprechaun Surprise
This green treat is super easy for even the littlest Leprechauns in your class to make all by themselves - the best part?  They get to eat their treasure when it's done!

Sham-ROCKS!

Shamrocks rock!  Plus, it's just a fun word to say, especially for little kids!  There aren't too many other plants that get this kind of attention around a strange holiday devoted to celebrating Irish pride, blarney stones and St. Patrick.  (I guess pumpkins do give them a run for their money!)  Visit The Idea Box for tons of St. Patrick's Day projects and ideas.

Baker's Clay Shamrocks
This baker's clay idea is a super easy recipe that the little ones can help with!  They can paint and decorate their baked shamrocks too.  You could even adapt this craft to create a "shamrock necklace" by adding a hole in the dough before you bake it.  Then have the kids string some yarn through and presto: instant shamrock jewelry!

Easy Shamrocks
This craft idea is simple enough that even toddlers and preschoolers can manage easily.  And it gives them a chance to work on those important motor skills.  The craft can also be adapted to be a little more fancy for older kids by adding embellishments like glitter or buttons.

Hairy Shamrocks
Who new you could get a shamrock to grow "hair"!  This project is another simple and creative idea to get started on right away in order to appreciate the "hairy" outcome - kids will love watching the grass grow all over their shamrocks and it can be a nice Spring teaching tool as well.

Enjoy these great ideas!  We love feedback and photos, so if you try one of these projects we would love to see it and we will feature it!
