Monday Music: Round and Around
Each Monday we'll bring you a fun song to sing with your kids!
This week's song is...
Round and Around
"Round and around and around Mommy goes"
(make circles in the air with your index finger)
"Where she stops, nobody knows!"
(Tickle your child in a different place each time)
This game is very simple, but young children love it! I play this with my 2 year old son to divert his attention or cheer him up. Works every time! You can change "Mommy" to "we" or any other name. Also, pausing before picking a tickle spot creates suspense.

Shining it's light upon us all.
When the night is dark, then you will see
Just how bright this light can be.
Here's a little candle burning bright.
Keeping us safe all through the night.

Monday Music: Ten Acorns in a Row
Each Monday we'll bring you a fun song to sing with your kids!
This week's song is...
Ten Acorns in a Row
10 acorns, leaves, pumpkins or other seasonal small items
Give each child his/her own acorn (or leaf, pumpkin, or other seasonal item). If there are less than 10 children, some may get two. Sing to the tune of "Ten Little Indians".
One little, two little, three little acorns
four little, five little, six little acorns
seven little, eight little, nine little acorns
ten acorns in a row
Each child places his/her acorn on the floor, lining them up in a row. This is a good opportunity to discuss that an acorn is food for squirrels and that it is also a seed that grows into an oak tree.

Each Monday we'll bring you a fun song to sing with your kids! This week's song is...
Down By the Bay
Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow

Combing his hair
Down by the bay?"
Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a bee
With a sunburned knee
Down by the bay?"
Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a moose
Kissing a goose
Down by the bay?"
Down by the bay
Where the watermelons grow
Back to my home
I dare not go
For if I do
My mother will say
"Did you ever see a whale
With a polka dot tail
Down by the bay?"
